Champ
The story of Champ, a few hours before his euthanasia ASH received a call to help. ACCT would not release the dog due to a bite case. We made a call and helped get Champ out. We started training/behavior modification with the adopters. Champ had anxiety, exhibited fear aggression towards people and other dogs. He now enjoys his outdoor activities, playing with his fur sibling , a Great Dane, and trusts people. His anxiety decreased and his aggression subsided. Champ became a confident and balanced dog.
Moses
Moses exhibited leash reactivity and over stimulation when seeing other dogs (foaming and lunging) during walks. ASH worked extensively with Moses, added group classes to the private sessions, he barked and lunged throughout the entire hour. We took him every week, and noticed the decrease in his excitement slowly starting to show. On the last class (6 weeks) he was able to walk into the building, ignore the dogs and not bark. Moses continued with training and graduated at the top of his class.
Scottie
.Scottie was found as a stray in Philadelphia and taken in by Hopewell Veterinary Hospital. He spend a couple of months at their boarding kennels until he got adopted, but unfortunately returned after 24 hours due to some dominance issues and not allowing anyone into the house. Scottie also attempted to attack the veterinarian on multiple occasions. Hopewell reached out to us for help and we started training Scottie. We were also made aware that his days at their kennels were numbered since he was not easy to be handled. We found the perfect home for Scottie and continued training with the adopter. Scottie is a goofy, chunky and happy boy and no longer exhibits dominance aggression.
Cassie & Brody
Cassie (yellow lab mix) displayed severe separation anxiety as well as stress anxiety. She would stand in her crate and relieve herself (diarrhea) daily. She could and would not walk on the leash and would bite out of fear. The owner was seeking help and was turned down by two other trainers that it couldn’t be fixed. ASH worked with owner and Cassie and the results are fantastic. Cassie is relaxed, likes to go in outings, participated in group classes (in addition to private sessions) and is a happy dog. Brody (black dog) was adopted by a couple at puppy stage. We were contacted for an assessment because he developed aggressive behavior towards owner and kids. We recommended a plan but owners decided to euthanize Brody instead. Brody is 6 years and has 3 legs due to an injury. It was heartbreaking to see this dog loose his life due no fault of its own. We understood the underlying issues of his aggression and knew that he would do well in a different home. Cassie’s owners decided to give it a try because they trusted us, and we knew that they would follow instructions. After decompression, behavior modification slow introduction to new things and time, Brody is a happy boy, that adapted great to his new family, and K9 sister.
